Paws Crossed is a nonprofit organization which relies solely on donations, grants and fundraising events for our income; we do not receive any Federal, State or Local assistance.
We are dedicated to being a true no-kill rescue. This means we will only euthanize for terminal illness or irreversible suffering. We are committed to saving as many lives as we can, while also providing the best possible environment for the pets in our care.
We offer a variety of programs and services to our wonderful community! As we continue to grow we will enhance existing programs and begin new ones!
Volunteers are the backbone of our organization and we are always looking for more!
Junior Volunteer Program:
Junior Volunteer days are fun, exciting opportunities for kids to come learn about rescue, make crafts and interact with the pets!
Education is our most important program. By educating the kids of today, we create the animal rescuers of tomorrow!
Paws of Healing:
We have formed a training program collaboration with Children’s Village in Dobbs Ferry. This collaboration aims to teach teenagers to empathize with and nurture animals through understanding their own emotions and reactions to daily life.
Reading to Rover:
Reading to Rover is a new innovative program in which children read to trained and certified therapy dogs. It is not only fun for the children but it builds confidence, enthusiasm, and reading proficiency!
